Meet Madame Twisto

Back in the first summer of the pandemic, I desperately missed exploring the city. The dirty, desolate subway lost what little charm it had left. My apartment air felt stale. I wanted to feel the wind in my face again. I needed a bicycle, but lacked the space. I could have mounted one on the wall or ceiling, but 1) that's hideous and 2) I am far too lazy to go through the process of hanging/removing/hanging a bike every time I want to ride.
Enter, Brompton. I researched a lot of folding bikes, but Brompton was the lightest and smallest on the market. I was enchanted by its practicality (and the accessory options, let's be honest). Its sleek look, high quality, and stunning colors elevated it from a bike to a work of art I'm proud to openly display in my home. Meet my fiery orange folding bike, Madame Twisto - named for classic sideshow contortionists.

She's more than my bike; she's my travel buddy, my cardio accountability partner, and my membership to the best cult community in NYC. I love taking her out on beerscursions to pick up beer mail or visit breweries. She's always my #1 cheerleader in the annual Bromptoberfest stein holding competition.
I can't wait to document our travels together and share them here. She folds up to fit in an airplane's overhead bin, so who knows where we'll end up!
